A zero-waste future is a possibility if we all act together to minimise and recycle the waste we create.

In Sunamganj, the Geocycle project of LafargeHolcim Bangladesh Ltd, a sustainable waste management process is in place. A wide range of non-recyclable wastes which are not detrimental to health or the environment, are burned in kilns which helps to generate the heat required to produce clinker – a key raw material of cement. The automated waste handling and feeding systems ensure minimal human intervention during waste disposal.

NAAFCO Group is happy to partner with Geocycle and help with our contribution of reducing our waste both efficiently and effectively. All our materials from the different business activities are sent to LafargeHolcim site in Sunamganj for disposal in a sustainable manner.
