M4C ORGANIZES CHAR SALES CONFERENCE

The objective of the conference was to review progress of three-year sales development plan and recognise the best performing salespersons and agro-input companies, based on highest percentage sales achievement during July to December, 2016. Making Markets Work for the Chars (M4C) recently organized first of its kind Char Sales Conference at Vinnojogot Park, Rangpur. The objective of the conference was to review progress of three-year sales development plan and recognize the best performing salespersons and agro-input companies, based on highest percentage sales achievement during July to December, 2016. Regional sales team members and senior management officials of five partner agro-input companies namely Auto Crop Care Limited, ACI Formulations Limited, ACI Godrej Private Limited, NAAFCO Group and Petrochem (Bangladesh) Ltd. attended and spoke at the event. Participants also shared their ideas about tackling common business challenges and topics through collaboration.

M4C has been supporting these companies to expand to the chars through market research, facilitation in the field, and partial sharing of sales and marketing costs. The companies now recognize the potential, and have set up tens of distributors and several hundred retailers to increase sales of quality agro-inputs, which is vital for increasing production and profitability of the char farmers.

M4C is a project mandated by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, and implemented by Swisscontact in collaboration with Rural Development Academy, Bogra.
